Linewatch is pleased to announce that Huntsman has formally joined the group - the magnificent seven are now eight!

Huntsman own and operate pipelines that were formally owned by ICI. These pipelines convey ethylene, which is a gas, but the safety precautions necessary when working in their vicinity are similar to when working near to oil pipelines.

The two pipelines are known as TPEP, pronounced "tee-pep" - (Trans-Pennine Ethylene Pipeline) that runs from Wilton, near Middlesborough, to Runcorn and WGEP, pronounced "wee-jep" - (Wilton-Grangemouth Ethylene Pipeline). Management responsibility for TPEP is split at the River Ribble crossing, near Clitheroe (between Chatburn and Sawley).
